Complex Trauma and PTSD Treatment

At Mimind Psychology, we recognize that complex trauma and PTSD can significantly affect emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, and an individual’s sense of safety and connection. Our approach to PTSD treatment is rooted in the understanding that trauma responses are adaptive survival strategies that may persist long after the initial experiences have occurred.

In our trauma-informed therapy, we provide a safe space for clients to explore the long-term effects of adverse experiences, including emotional dysregulation, hypervigilance, dissociation, shame, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, and protective coping patterns.

We tailor treatment to meet each individual’s needs, prioritizing safety, stabilization, and nervous system regulation before addressing traumatic memories. Our therapy aims to help clients better understand their trauma responses, strengthen emotional regulation, rebuild self-trust, and cultivate greater internal safety and connection.

The therapeutic approaches we may utilize include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema Therapy, CBT, and attachment-informed interventions, all designed to process traumatic experiences, clarify protective patterns, and address unmet emotional needs in a safe and collaborative manner.
